Electrolytes + Magnesium: The Hydration Stack for Athletes, Sauna Lovers, and Hot Sleepers

Why Plain Water Doesn't Actually Hydrate

Potassium

How Much Water Per Day
The "8 glasses a day" rule is folklore. Real intake depends on body weight, activity level, climate, and sweat losses. A reasonable baseline: half your body weight in ounces (a 180-lb person = 90oz). Add 16–24oz per hour of sweating activity. Add 16oz per sauna session.
More important than volume: make sure the water you drink has the electrolytes to actually be retained. 90oz with minerals beats 150oz of plain water every time.
